Psalms 69:9 (KJV) tells us that
"For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me."
Many times most Christians will start off their Christian walk being very excited and full of energy to just be in the presence of the Lord. They will never forgo a single church service, gathering or conference. They are the first to be there when the Church door opens, the heartbeat for God is at its highest, starting their Christian walk like a sprint.
The unfortunate thing as the race gets long and days turn to weeks, weeks to months and months to years, they begin to dwindle. Now they give excuses, their church attendance becomes irregular and casual. The flame of fire in them is now virtually quenched. This is a terrible state to be in especially in the house of the Lord. The Bible tells us in Matthew 5;14 that ‘Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.’
Today, let that passion for Christ in you be reawakened to show forth His glory. You are destined for greatness and that greatness is within you the very moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Jesus has never changed His mind concerning you, it’s time to rekindle that fire of the Holy Spirit in you again.
